Smooth, swift and in control …not you, your V2 Aero 150 S Roller Skis!  The V2 Aero 150S skis with Speed Reducers possess the qualities you wish you had.  Their revolutionary 6” pneumatic wheels smooth out the ride and allow them to excel on terrain that would thwart regular roller skis.  The included ATR Speed Control System regulates your descent on downhills, and if you so choose, provides you with increased resistance for tougher workouts -- you hardcore, you!

Add clutched wheels for $40. Clutched front wheels, which roll forward only, will allow you to switch from skating to classic technique when you encounter washouts, horse-hoof damage and other trail hazards.  A favorite of our in-house skiers, clutched wheels add versatility with no downside.

Q: Can you describe the basic functioning of the speed control system?

A: Ian,
The speed reducers provide resistance, thus slowing down your momentum.
Thanks for the question!

Q: can roller skis be used on rocky trails ?It is crushed rock that is used on dirt road maintainance; rock sizes range from 1-3." What shoes and poles do you recommend?
A: Hey thanks for the question Connie. The V2 Aero 150 S Roller Skis would be the best option if you were looking to roll over any type of rocky surface. It will perform best on more of a crushed limestone path but given the size of rocks, it should be fine. As for shoes, you want anything that is going to have extremely good ankle support. I would recommend using the Salomon S-Lab Skate Pro Nordic Boot. As for a pole, Alpina S5 Nordic Tourer Cross Country Pole or we also have the Exel Centra pole in our store as well. Hope that helps, if you have anymore questions, please just give our store a call @ (630) 3234320. Thanks!

Q: Hi not sure if you can help me, but I am an x roller blader looking for something more stable. I found these roller skis, and was also looking for something that I just dont know what they are called. They look like a ski, long, but with wheels and people use polls with them. Do you know what they are called? And, do you have brosures on roller skis that can be mailed to me? Thanks for your time.
A: Hey Annie, thanks for the question. Yea, I hate to say it, but I think rollerblading has seen its day. Time to live in the now. What you seem to be describing is indeed the sport of roller skiing. So you have come to the right place. It is very similar to roller blading in the sense that you do roll alot, but it does require more effort, specifically from the upper body, which is why the poles are necessary. I suggest that you check out xcskiworld.com or jenex.com for more information on all V2 Roller Skis. Also one last tip: The most important thing to consider before you immerse yourself into the sport is to get yourself a stiff, supportive boot. The more rigid, the better. Alright good luck with your search, and if there are any more questions, feel free to give us a shout here at the shop- (630) 323 4320. Thanks!
